Head Start - Teacher Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing a nurturing learning environment for preschool children through high quality individual and group

activities under the supervision of the Teacher. Participates in the team process to implement the Head Start Program and compliance of the performance standards. Work to support Teacher toward common goals in the areas of Education, Health, Mental Health and Disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have at a minimum a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire.

Experience: Experience working with 3-5 year olds in a pre-school program or equivalent preferred.

WAGE: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Head Start - Food Service Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in the management, service and food preparation and clean up for the Head Start Center. Participate in a team process to implement the Head Start Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. ServSafe Certification Level 1 and Department of Health Food Protection Certification preferred.

Experience: Cooking experience required. Experience cooking for a group and working with preschool children preferred.

WAGE: Hourly Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Head Start - Program Site Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Assist Teacher and Teaching Assistant in providing a nurturing learning environment for preschool children through high quality individual and group activities. Assist the Health Manager in monitoring health screenings. Work to support Teacher toward common goals in the areas of Education, Health, Mental Health and Disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Working with 3-5-year-old children. Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.

WAGE: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Head Start - Mentor Coach

JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction, to provide coaching, training, and technical assistance to teaching staff (teachers, teacher assistants, home visitors, and program site assistants); to support and engage teaching staff through individual coaching sessions, training and small group discussions; to measure program quality by completing regular classroom/home visit observations using curriculum fidelity and quality interaction observation tools; and to do related work as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or related field required.

Experience: Trained and have experience in CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) and/or HOVRS (Home Visit Rating Scale) observation preferred. At least five years of work experience in Early Childhood Education. Experience in mentor coaching, training, and/or supervising staff.

WAGE: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Senior Nutrition - Office/Program Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Provide clerical support to Director. Assist with managing senior nutrition services at satellite location(s) and reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must participate in training and in-service as required.
• Have good hygiene and be free of communicable diseases. A negative tuberculin skin test or chest x-ray is required.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and have proof of insurance with minimum limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident.

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Part-Time position.

Head Start - Family Advocate

JOB SUMMARY: Support the children and families by advocating on their behalf to the Community and the Head Start Center. Assist Health Manager in monitoring and daily administration of Child Health Services and Family Health Education. Work in cooperation toward common goals with all other component areas (Education, Disabilities, Family Services, and Mental Health etc.) within the Head Start program. Maintain compliance of the Performance Standards. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Employees who work directly with families on the family partnership process hired after November 7, 2016, must have, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field, or be enrolled in a program and obtain the certification within eighteen months of hire. 

Experience: in social service field preferred.

WAGE: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt position and wages will be based upon education and experience.

Weatherization - Tech 1

JOB SUMMARY: Position performs home weatherization and energy assistance services to eligible consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

● Must possess strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft programs (word, excel) and be able to quickly learn specialized program software.

● On the job training required including in-service and off-site training including overnight when necessary.

● Must demonstrate tolerance and respect for diversity in accordance with the Agency’s mission.

● Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

● Must maintain acceptable driving record and automobile insurance sufficient to meet Agency Liability Insurance Carrier requirements.

● Must successfully pass a criminal records check and drug screen at hire and going forward as required by Agency policy or Program requirement.

Senior Nutrition - Home Delivered Meal Driver

JOB SUMMARY: Assist with preparation, packaging and delivery of meals to homebound consumers.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Community Services - Resource Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for data entry of client applications for Utility Assistance Programs.

LOCATION: Offices in Harrison, Carroll and Tuscarawas Counties. (Travel will be required)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be sensitive to the needs of low income individuals, respect diversity and be culturally competent.
• Must be computer literate and be capable of mastering CSBG/HEAP web-based computer programs.
• Ability to write case notes.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and have proof of insurance with minimum limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident.

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week. Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days.

Head Start - Teacher Substitutes

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, implementation, and management of the Head Start Center, including Site Administrator as required Job and Family Services Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulation. Supervises all center enrollees and adults. Participates in a team process to implement the Head Start Program and maintain compliance of the performance standards. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education or a baccalaureate or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children preferred. An associate degree in early childhood education; or an associate degree in a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children; or a baccalaureate degree and has been admitted into the Teach For America program, passed a rigorous early childhood content exam, such as the Praxis II, participated in a Teach For America summer training institute that includes teaching preschool children, and is receiving ongoing professional development and support from Teach For America's professional staff required.     

Experience: Two years teaching preschool children and supervising staff in a pre-school program or equivalent preferred..

WAGE: Hourly wage negotiable and will be based upon education and experience.
